Introduce built-in air fry technology to the North American cooker market

Consumer insight in North America told us that a standalone air fryer takes up too much space. We listened and brought the first built-in air fry technology to the market.

Consumer-driven innovation

Air fryers are transforming the way people cook and eat. By circulating hot air around food in order to cook it, an air fryer uses only a fraction of oil if any at all, making it beneficial to our own health and the health of the planet.

Air Fry has been an attractive, fast-growing category in the North American market for several years. In fact, a study in 2018* revealed that consumers in the U.S. considered Air Fry technology as a critical or important factor in their purchase decision of cooking appliances. Yet, consumers also felt that stand alone air fryers take up a lot of space on the kitchen countertop.

To tap into this unmet consumer demand, our brand Frigidaire created the Frigidaire Gallery® front control cooker with the industry-first built-in air fryer – allowing consumers to make healthy, crispy and delicious meals for the entire family while leaving the countertop clear.

Four years later, by the end of 2023, Electrolux Group was selling the built-in air fryer in several markets around the world in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

We listen to our consumers to help us shape a better tomorrow.
