Join the 50L Home coalition to create a home within our planetary boundaries

With water security a pressing global challenge, we’ve joined forces with organizations from around the world to co-develop innovative water-saving solutions for your home.

Re-inventing our relationship with water

Water is precious. Yet water scarcity levels are rising. 14 out of 20 of the world’s largest cities are already experiencing inadequate supplies and two-thirds of the world’s population are expected to live in water-stressed areas by 2025.

Still, the average water consumption per person per day is up to a shocking 500 liters in some developed countries and approximately 16% of energy consumption in the home is related to water usage. *

Since we’re directly involved in a significant part of household water consumption, we have a responsibility to face the water scarcity challenge – as well as an opportunity to realize the benefits of water efficiency, such as reduced energy consumption.

For this action, we’ve joined the global action-oriented platform the 50L Home along with other key stakeholders including Proctor & Gamble and the World Economic Forum. The aim of the coalition is to reinvent our relationship with water by inspiring and enabling better lifestyle choices that lead to more sustainable water use in the home, while advancing solutions to address water efficiency, reuse and – in certain cases – removal in the home.

The ultimate vision is to make 50 liters of daily water use per person an aspiration for all.

To help get us there, we will contribute towards the creation of a 50L model home concept, strengthening innovation in water efficient solutions and making our most efficient technologies accessible for more people.

Water is precious. Let’s make the 50L Home a reality.
